So, I flew back from Idaho Falls to Cincinnati with a stop in Denver and enjoyed my first run in with lots of Karens in the airport and on the plane. At Denver, I never wore a mask and I was the ONLY person I saw not wearing one. It was amazing. On the plane, as we were being seated, I got harrassed by a couple for not wearing the "right" mask and was even turned in to the flight attendant, to whom I calmly showed my mask. The woman constantly looked back at me to see if I was wearing a mask during the flight. The comical part was that you are allowed to remove your mask as long as you are eating or drinking, which I did for virtually the entire flight. (I brought a bag of Costco peanuts for exactly that purpose) But it hit me after the flight that I have a perfect analogy for the world we live in today. It is the movie, "Invasion of the body snatchers".
I’m not surprised you go along, however grudgingly. If you fly you are subject to worse.
I will never HAVE to fly so I won’t as long as the TSA is entitled to grope anyone who does.
I’ve walked past at least 50 “Masks required” signs in the last three months, while wearing no mask. Only one place balked: Costco.
I now have a Sam’s club membership.
I drove from Kentucky to Seattle and back a few weeks ago and made another trip from Idaho Falls to Seattle and back just this week. I walked through dozens of “masks required” signs maskless. Not once did anyone even give me a dirty look. In fact, one guy asked me how I got away without wearing a mask and I told him it’s just a “corporate headquarters” thing and nobody really cars. He took off his mask. :)
Most of the people you see wearing masks think they are stupid, but they either comply because they want to give the nation a “united front” because they’ve seen too many mask PSA’s or, frankly, they are just cowards. I push the line to the limit. I’m a coward about some things, but not this. It crossed the “righteous indignation” phase for me many months ago.
The 1956 version was best. I feel like Kevin McCarthy, in the middle of the California freeway, shouting warnings to everyone!

I never wear a mask Been in 4 counties over 100 miles apart in WI since this started and only one WM greeter got pissed when she offered me a mask, I took it and didn’t wear it. She was mostly angry at the *waste* of a mask. I think. I can’t always understand people when they speak through a face covering.
And if they hassle me? It’s deprivation of rights under cover of law (State Supreme Court has overruled the Governor 2x, but he came back with *health regulations*). I _will_ bring suit and I will not back down.
And I _do_ have *risk factors*, which is precisely why I will not wear a mask, which exacerbates them.
I have yet to see a dedicated Biohazard Trash Can outside Walmart or any other Store or Restaurant.
I do however see used discarded Face Masks all over the Parking Lots.

The next time she saw me she did not even ask, just smiled and waved me on my way. The guy with her hissed "she is not wearing a mask!" As I walked away I heard her answer, "have you ever read the side of the box?"
It’s weird, isn’t it? To see so many sheep.
