Netflix’s disappointing third quarter earnings was the result of subscribers canceling their service at eight times the usual rate because of anger over the controversial French film Cuties, it has been reported.
Data unearthed by two analytics firms indicate that there was a sharp uptick in the number of people who cancelled their subscriptions at around the same time that calls were growing for a boycott of Netflix over its airing of Cuties.

Yeah, me too. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. They almost never had anything I wanted to watch but spent millions on an Obama program. Cuties gave me a reason to do what I’d been considering for a long time.

By the way, I don't think the argument suffices that people don't watch porn on Comcast and they only watch other programming. People were not watching "Cuties" on Netflix and cancelling their subscriptions.
We quit at that point too. Have not even missed it one bit. Almost everything they produced was garbage anyway.
I got rid of them during the Saint Floyd era when they started their..WHITIES ARE THE DEVIL..crap.
There is no comparison between sexually exploiting children and ‘exploiting’ consensual adults who know what they are doing and are old enough and mentally competent enough to make their own decisions about being paid to be used for other adult’s sexual gratification.
I err on the side that exploitation is exploitation regardless of age. People can be vulnerable for multiple reasons and hence be exploited. It is not necessarily chronological.

What will a Woke management do? Going to be an interesting management study going forward. Do nothing, revenue and earnings drop, stock price then follows and lastly lose the Texas case which could lead to a ratings board covering the whole streaming industry. Time to buy popcorn and watch Netflix, not what’s on Netflix but what Netflix’s management does and the reactions. Anyone want to take beats on how long Hastings lasts at the top?

Adults are free to do as they want, even if their choices harm themselves, children are not, they need to be protected until they are old enough to think for themselves.
I don’t believe morality needs to be policed by the government, only against harm to the innocent.
I sorta enjoyed Netflix because we haven’t had a real television since 1996. $50 million to the Obama’s ended my subscription. I can’t quit twice, or I would.
Was considering Netflix but the Obama deal put me off.
