I have seen a recent Trump campaign ad talking about getting through COVID together, being careful but not afraid. Anecdotally, I have seen this same phenomenon with some seniors.
Well, that’s what I think - and I believe I’m considered a ‘senior’ now (at least, AARP thought I was even ten years ago.)
When you’ve been through all sorts of weird stuff for many decades, a ‘pandemic’ IS something to be careful about - but certainly not something to fear.
Young people have a more difficult row to hoe - the last couple of generations have been so privileged, protected and coddled that they haven’t really experienced much that leads to wisdom.
