from a layperson perspective, it’s about perfection: “I’ll get it (or be) perfect this time”.

The media has been manipulating us for a long time. When Reagan was shot, Alexander Hagg was at the White House as he was chief of staff at the time. Someone in the media asked him who was in charge. He answered, "Here at the White House? I am." The media edited his question out so they could say Hagg was trying to take over.

We had a cabin in the Sierras, with an average of 25 feet of snow or winter and 5 or so feet of snow pack on the ground. I hated snow Sports, hated snow shoes. The winter consisted of me making a fire in the wood stove and reading. It was delightful.

I don’t know, my mother was very abusive, and I never cared about pleasing her, not as a child and less as an adult.
