That is a shame.
Mens Wearhouse has been the only place from which Ive bought suits in the last 20 years.
I buy all my shirts & suits from Jos. A Bank. Great fit. Good tailoring services. It’s a shame.
I have not worn a dress shirt since March. I’ve got them all in plastic wrap. Working from home.
In my neck of the woods, suits are either for very low level or very high level jobs. Everyone else is business casual or even the Steve Jobs route.
I have had women friends who wish there was something similar to Mens Wearhouse for them.
Too much engineer in me to concentrate on fashion...until I started dating some very hot women.
“..the only place...”
Same here. Great store, great folks.
Sad to hear this.
Same here. This is a shame. The founder of Men’s Wearhouse got taken out a while back on basically ‘Me Too’ grounds.
It went downhill from there. He got ‘Papa Johned’.
Even on the few days I've gone into the office, we are dressing business casual. Dockers, button down shirts, loafers, no ties in sight. I wonder if business suits will ever be back the way they once were. It seems the whole world has gone casual overnight.
My only major annoyance I had with Men's Wearhouse is the way they would try to upsell you. You'd be trying out your suit and when you come out, some beautiful saleswoman would have an entire table of shirts, ties, belts and whatnot, hand-selected just for you. My bill would invariably increase at least $200. Boy, did my wife hate the way those women so effortlessly parted me from my cash.
Speaking of neckties, I've got over 100 silk ties in my closet. With the push of a button, I can make them rotate in front of me with one of three motorized carousels like that pictured below. One carousel for summer ties, one for winter ties and one for speciality ties like the ones you wear for funerals, at Christmas or St. Patricks Day. People think I'm nuts.
