I’ve just messaged the explosive expert in our family. He says, “First one is a small HE detonation. It’s a use of a bulk charge of high explosives throwing gasses into the air. The second looks like a dust initiated explosion.”
Explaining further he writes, “So, the red cloud thrown up is an entertaining bit of information, plus the fireball afterwards. It’s a thrown bunch of small particles in the air that the burned at a very rapid rate.”
