I imagine that it’s been made deadly clear to him that he will have NO post pro-football-career options (media etc.) if he does not clean up his thought crimes and repent before the alter of Black Lives.

Mr. Brees is badly mistaken if he thinks he speaks for the white community. Unlike other communities of color, NOBODY dares to presume to speak for the entire white community.
The young man has now managed to tick off a good bit of the community that would have backed him when things got rough. And I’m not talking about whites; I’m talking of citizen patriots who know there are much better and more honorable ways to unify the country that disrespecting its flang, vandalizing its national monuments and rioting and looting.
Maybe Drew is not such a great quaterback after all.
