The platform is being crafted.
This happened in Illinois. In 2016, the GOPe placed non-Traditional Family Value language in the state platform. No one knew about it until the day before the vote. It was a miracle that the Traditional Family values, including marriage between a man and a woman, remained in the platform. It was a last ditch effort.
It is almost futile to wait until after the platform comes out. Christians need to express our views and values now.
If the GOPe and bad things traditional Family Values, they will lose the base. Of course they never really cared about us much, and they just assumed they would get our votes. Something like that will change it, though. How do Christians make sure they will have any input on the platform?
