Praying for your friend to not suffer, and for his wife and family to be comforted.
Several times ago when we spoke he told me he was taking morphine pills and oxycodone pills and was in pain. I told him tell them right now to get him on an IV morphine drip. I was so angry. They did put him on one so at least the last days that he was alert he was not in pain.
He is not alert anymore.
