A lot of guys had N95/N100 masks laying around because we use them around the house for projects. Sanding drywall, woodworking, spraying paint, solvents or insecticide, working in the attic around fiberglass, etc. I wear an N95 when shopping. I’m cautious about who I interact with, so I’m not worried about infecting others. For a trip to costco I put on an N100.
Also, the MI protest was about opening businesses, not anti-mask. Of course it is beyond the protesters grasp that wearing masks would have given them more credibility that they were informed and serious. Instead they wanted to show off their weapons and tactical attire. They did nothing to advance their stated cause.
True, but any given random sampling wouldn’t turn up that many N95s or N95s being worn or much less in a protest against masks.
