The only way people will practice social distancing and start wearing a mask is only if they know someone they care about die.
The anti-mask covidiots have hardened in their stance. It's to the point of religious fanaticism. They will die before they wear a mask. And they will lash out at anyone who wears a mask or other PPE. Just like that incident in Oklahoma. A die-off will prompt the moderates to practice social distancing and wear PPE. But the hardened anti-mask covidiots? They are a lost cause.

I did my senior hour Walmart run this morning (N CT).
It is so stress free—everybody wearing a mask, everybody in a good mood, no crazies to be found.
If there are any anti-mask fanatics around here, I wouldn’t know where to find them.
We had been debating moving south to retire, but we have a great place here and lots of friends and family so we have decided to stay.
It is beginning to look like that was a good call.

I’d bet the more fanatical they are towards others that are wearing masks, the more fearful they really are and are misdirecting that fear into anger. Caught in the headlights of flight or fight but the enemy is invisible.
Kind of like China at the moment.
