Yup. I took Barr’s comments as a subtle signal that the Trump Administration will have our backs if we choose to protest.
It’s the same thing that happened with the gun dealers. Even radically leftist states like New Jersey modified their restrictions and added gun dealers to their “essential business” lists once the Federal government issued a formal statement that gun dealers are considered essential under Federal law. Once that happened, the governors of these states knew damn well that they were almost certainly going to be facing massive financial penalties under Federal lawsuits from their constituents.
