“CBS Austin Anchor Walt Maciborski talked with H-E-B President Scott McClelland. He is asking everyone who can to shop alone without extra family members.
“One of the things we found is that since the stay at home orders have started is that many of our customers view going to the grocery store as an outing,” McClelland said. “But really when we talk about stay-at-home, we really need people to stay-at-home and send ‘a’ person to the store. Now, of course if you’re a single mom you’re going to need to take your kids with you we understand that, but in general the fewer people that we have our store shopping the better off we are.”
