That’s a false choice. We’re all still alive. However, many of us are economically devastated due to the Wu Flu Panic of 2020. Unsurprisingly, Wu Flu hobbyists couldn’t care less about the devastation their tantrums have inflicted on their fellow Americans.
I’d rather be dead. I will not owe my soul to any Hospital in bills after this I share you. If I get it I am going to set up a tent in the backyard and stay outside of my house until I die or survive. That decision was already made by me
Are you telling me that unemployment, plus $600 plus $2400 per household, on top of your emergency fund (you do have an emergency fund, right?) is not going to keep you solvent through May?
If you are making that much and you don’t have savings...shame on you. If you have THAT much debt, and not enough savings...shame on you.
The economy was fine three weeks ago. There is 0 reason to believe it won’t come back.

If someone is economically ‘devastated’ after 2 weeks, something’s wrong and it ain’t the gubmint. Lost it in stocks? where was your hedge? Lost your job? Where is your rainy-day fund? Store closed? Again, where’s your rainy-day fund? Why aren’t you driving for a delivery service to make some instant cash? Why aren’t you applying for one of all those jobs considered ‘essential’? From construction to minimarts to Costco. Welfare folks aren’t hurting - their checks still come. Section 8 housing still there. Same as SS. Can’t get evicted, can’t get foreclosed, can’t have your water shut off. Those with the lowest earnings will get their rescue check first. 2-3 weeks? com’n now. Don’t go all drama queen.

We care. But clearly you value your portfolio more than the lives of a couple million Americans. You had a couple months of warning. A greedy SOB like you could have shorted all the right stocks if you weren’t too busy mocking the adults and throwing tantrums like the post this is in reply to. You should go volunteer at a hospital and tell them all about how this “flu” has inconvenienced you. They must need people to mop floors and clean toilets.
