Our trash collection uses a pair of giant pinchers to lift the canby the sides and dump it in the truck.
No human contact at all.
I always use gloves to grab the handle and bring the can back. It IS a garbage can after all.
Ours is a rural service that still uses.....humans.
We leave the empty can out there, overnight...or more....and then hubby uses a glove to wheel it back up.
We keep them outside, on far side of house.
