In Italy, since the beginning of the Coronavirus epidemic, 63,927 people have contracted the Sars-CoV-2 virus (4,789 more people than yesterday for an 8.1% growth). The data were provided by the Civil Protection. Of these, 6,077 died (+601, + 11%) and 7,432 died (408, + 5.8%). Currently there are 50,418 positive subjects (the bill rises to 63,927 - as mentioned above - if there are also dead and healed in the calculation, that is, counting all the people who have been found positive to the virus since the beginning of the epidemic).

The patients hospitalized with symptoms are 20,692; 3,204 are in intensive care (+195, 6.8%), while 26,522 are in fiduciary home isolation.

Italy coronavirus deaths rise by 602 in a day, lifting total death toll to 6,078

ROME The death toll from an outbreak of coronavirus in Italy has grown by 602 to 6,078, the head of the Civil Protection Agency said on Monday, an 11% increase but the smallest rise in numerical terms since Thursday, suggesting a clear downward trend.
On Sunday, 651 people died. That followed 793 on Saturday and 627 on Friday.
The total number of confirmed cases in Italy rose to 63,927 on Monday from a previous 59,138, an increase of 8%, the Civil Protection Agency said the lowest rise in percentage terms since the contagion came to light on Feb. 21.
