...he can continue his life as a waiter at the best steakhouse in town as he handles everyones food....
This is what I’ve been wondering about, with EVERY restaurant going to either drive-thru, curb side, or delivery....
Who or what is to say that this food is safe? How do we know an infected person (I imagine at the larger chains, hopefully, they’re masked/gloved while cooking, but who knows?) didn’t prepare the food and....that the food they serve is safe, and not infected?
Have I missed something, about this?
You can’t.
The bag, styrofoam/cardboard, napkins, receipt, etc.
Have to assume all are contaminated.
If the food is at less than the viral kill temp...assume that’s contaminated as well.
“Who or what is to say that this food is safe?”
I think cooking will kill the virus. But what about the salad? And the packaging?
Does anyone at these overpaid Gov Offices watch what Hong Kong has been doing ?
Every employee vitals are tested every
day !
Wouldn’t heating the food kill the virus, or is hot food still a temperature too low to do it?
Food handlers wear gloves and food safety guidelines say food is to be cooked and maintained at a certain temp. So it is comes down to how much a person trusts their local fast food restaurant and what risk they are willing to take. The biggest danger is the bag the food is in and the people who touched it. Personally, would not eat anything that wasnt cooked (salad), and For cooked foods, I would take the food out of packaging, out on a plate and reheat. You can never be too careful.
Watch some cooking shows and they all drip sweat into the food, ugh. Wouldn’t CV in sweat and if they tasted it with the same spoon?
Have not gone to a restaurant in almost 8 weeks. Been eating food bought weeks ago. Restarants will have to put gloves and masks on cooks. Should have been done 6 weeks ago in Santa Clara County. 7 weeks ago in King County. But, we dont have enough masks and wearing them was not yet acceptable.
My thoughts exactly. I dont trust anyone at this scary time. Im so proud that we are fully stocked for a very long time. I even thought ahead to have a special meal in the freezer for my birthday next week. We will NOT be ordering takeout or delivered dinners.
