I asked my adult children if I could “isolate” in either of their homes. I am in a poorly managed senior living facility. Guess what?
They really don’t want to take me in. All are working full time, too busy, etc. They don’t really get that this isn’t a cold or the flu - they are too busy to pay attention, and poo-poo my worries as alarmism/panic.
I feel sorry for them, but I love them anyway.
That is too bad. My mom is in an assisted living facility. She has multiple medical problems and needs a level of care she could not get at home.
The facility just put a quarantine in place. No visitors are allowed in the building. That includes family.
I feel bad that she will be cut off from her family, but the nursing staff there are fantastic.
I would be equally concerned that if I were to visit her, I might unknowingly infect her.
Im so sorry to hear this.
I wish there were something we could do. I wish you all the best.
