A thought...

What if some entity/entities were putting an artificial slowdown in the supply chain. That is, what if TP and water deliveries were cut in half. This along with the media-inspired hoarding, might be enough to clear shelves and make it look like a much bigger situation than it really is.

Anybody in the transportation industry that might have some insights into this?

It appears colleges in Texas and Oklahoma are probably going to go “on-line” after Spring Break.

Son goes to college in Texas. He just told me if ANYONE is confirmed with coronavirus within 50 miles of the school they're sending the students home and teaching all the courses online.

Great question. I wouldn’t put it past any of the complicit DIMRATS & orgs.

For some unknown reason, I just doubt that’s the case.

Hopefully some Sam’s Club will weigh in.

Connor? What’s with all the parents using last names instead of first names when naming their kids? i.e. Tyler, Taylor, Carson, Parker, etc.

The ship in the silent running movie was the

Valley Forge which was the turning point in the

Revolutionary War. We are probably only

one week out now. Hang on to your butts.

He’s [Jamie Dimon ] likely toast. Given the efficacy of infectious control at most hospitals.

What would happen if the face masks from China were infected with the virus? Would it have the same effect as the smallpox infected blankets given to the Aztecs by the Spaniards?

A virus might last a few hours but would never survive the shipping from Chine. And Smallpox is not a virus.

Very interesting, tweet from today, and the comments are very interesting. Thanks for posting link. 2:15 video:

#OTD in 1972, "Silent Running" starring @BruceDern was released. The sci-fi movie was filmed in part on the decommissioned Essex-class aircraft carrier USS Valley Forge shortly before the ship was scrapped. To honor the carrier, the spaceship in the film was named Valley Forge. pic.twitter.com/m0BiIWugD1— U.S. Naval Institute (@NavalInstitute) March 10, 2020

Why don’t the cops just get a warrant, grab Hunter, and drag his lame butt to court in handcuffs?

Contempt of court. He can just cool his heels in county jail until all court proceedings are concluded. That will solve his issues with showing up for scheduled dates.

some 91% proof alcohol...add just a little alcohol to make it kind of liquid feel.

Sounds like I'll have a lot left over....what ever will I do with it all?

Think of the savings! No room/board and less indoctrination. Maybe a silver lining in it.

And then you said

What would happen if the face masks from China were infected with the virus?

To which I reply (warning, it's long): Had to make an unscheduled family doc appointment yesterday. Got a hella cough, low oxygen, typical cold/flu symptoms.

I hang my jacket on the jacket-hanger-on thing, go to the desk to register. Being a good little doobie, I'm looking for the masks (I don't usually glove and mask up, I just wash my hands a lot). Register lady was just pulling the box back into her window, so SHE COULD SHUT THE WINDOW IN MY FACE. Welp, I get it. She must seem 100's of sick folks every day...but I wanted a mask, dammit. So I asked if I could have one, she said "sure" and took one out of the box. I smiled and took the box away from her, saying I believed in self-serve, laughing.I was trying to see on the box where the masks were made, but I didn't want to trigger her. She was fine with that.

I get the mask and step away. Why was I being so insistent? Because I'm pretty sure the reason I got sick was I had been to this doctor's office on last Wednesday. I never get sick from there (chemo makes my immune system nonexistent and I go there monthly, same as the poison palace...errr...the chemo infusion joint), but I'm always careful to use my coat sleeves for door handles, paper towels for all else. So, yesterday I decided to go all in and use a mask.

Masks make your glasses fog up, instantly. There's probably a right way to do it, but the last time I worked in a sterile isolation unit, I didn't have these dang glasses.

My nurse asked if "we" could do a flu test. I said sure, better safe than sorry. Asked her what the big deal was, cos she kept asking me, even tho I said yes. "Well, t might be a bit uncomfortable", as she whips out about an 8" Q-tip. I said no big deal...unless...She started laughing and said "tip your head back and try to keep still!" Damn, I don't know how she managed to laugh at me and keep the q-tip out of my brain! I didn't hurt, it tickled in an unpleasant way.

Last para, promise. Nope, I don't know what kind of flu it was testing for. And nope, I don't know if I passed or failed. And nope, I'm not afraid of no stupid Chinese flu. Whatever happens, happens. And today I feel just as dreadful as I did yesterday

Thought I would throw this out there.  But I do love the looking glass analogy. Silent running is a tactic used....to evade adversarial threats.

A new mindset for the Army: silent running

Yep, you’re right. I guess the Variola Virus can last outside a host much better than the Corona.

Why don’t the cops just get a warrant,

because some prissy little judge in State A won't sign off on the warrant, and some over inflated State's Attorney general wont do the extradition warrant (one or the other type of warrant is needed for intrastate extradition). Oh, and cos...Biden, you know!
