Sad. The Legion is closed until further notice , but we will be going there to do cleaning and paint a flagpole.
Understandable.
Seems everything is closing.
I was in a Walmart in a town nearby and it was eerie seeing parts of the shelves empty.
Much of the lunchmeat was gone, and there was some frozen foods left.
Americans will be OK for about 2 weeks, then if we are not allowed to resume some of things being restricted, there will be anger.
The governments have taken away our freedoms on short notice for a “flu”.
It is becoming increasingly obvious we are not fighting aa “flu” or a “virus”.
We have lived through worse in our lifetimes without these draconian restrictions.
Do you print a list of members and phone numbers. Might be a good idea to start a wellness phone chain. One of our churches here are doing that with their prayer list Since they are not getting out for church activities the church is coming to them.
I am so sorry. You put a lot of time, effort, and love into the work there. Closing important institutions like the legion seems so harsh. You are doing an important work in getting that deep cleaning done and I hope y’all are back open before you know it.
You guys won’t know what to do! I’m sure you’ll think of something.
