Here’s what I see. Numerous press conferences each day given by various government employees. The themes are “concern”, “no need for panic”, “wash your hands”...
I may have missed it, but I have yet to hear anyone in authority, (including the White House) sound sane and honest with us. I’ve heard lies, confusion and I’m really disappointed. I don’t expect them to be perfect. I expected policies and procedures to be in place.
Governor Cuomo of New York has been the best I have heard so far.
you forgot ‘masks are bad.’
I am angry and disappointed. I worry the most for hcws being exposed. How can we know for 6-7 weeks what this would look like if not mitigated and the government did not?
I dont know if you caught up thread but my son knows several kids now quarantined who were exposed to a case here. Fortunately, he has not been around any of them for a while. Still too close for comfort.
One bad thing how this situation was handled is it was the private co-ops that closed did so of their own volition. Our health department did not tell them to close because the kid was not symptomatic when he attended class! It appears the director of the school (I know her, shes a smart lady, scientist from New Zealand) knew better. Some of the siblings of the kids in quarantine go to public schools and they are not closed.
Anyway, sorry to ramble. I feel like Im sitting on a shore watching a tidal wave coming
