The New York Giants fired coach Pat Shurmur on Monday after two seasons on the job, but the team is keeping general manager Dave Gettleman. Shurmur was told of his dismissal a little before 9 a.m., according to a source. Jason Garrett?
Black Monday!
The day of the NFL’s ‘Musical Coaches’.....................
Baylor coach Matt Ruhle is a hot commodity.
I think Jerry is going to find out if he wants to bring in a decent coach, he’s going to have to give them complete control over assistant coaches and player personnel, is he willing to give that up?
It’s not the talent on the sideline, it’s the talent on the field.......................
No, he’s Jerry....................
I heard talk Jerry Jones might go after your coach Dan Mullins given his relationship and development of Dak.
Troy Aikman?..............
Mullen pretty much shut that down.
If Jerry promised Troy essentially to be the GM, he just might consider it.
But I can’t see those two working together, given past history.
There’s no guarantee that Dak resigns with Dallas, somebody may throw a lot of money at him.
I’ve even heard Romo’s name mentioned.
NO. He is not.
When his playing days are done, I think Sean Lee could be a great coach.
If I were Jerry, I would offer Sean Lee a position on the coaching staff, if he retires, he’s just too injury-prone to continue. But I see him as a future head coach.
This thread is proof the Dallas Cowboys are the best franchise in the world.
A thread talking about the Giants turns into a discussion about the Dallas Cowboys.
It is so great to be the center of the universe.
The Cowboys live rent free in the heads of their divisional opponents.
Yes, I heard that, too..............
But JERRY is the problem................
And Coughlin should have been fired two years earlier. This organization has been a dumpster fire since their last Super Bowl win 8 years ago.
