I wanted to ping you on this but I was on my tablet and my brain would not go in to gear. Glad you found it.
***Grabbe was not just a conspiracy theorist, rather he is historically the closest person resembling the character of Q***
Excellent point. Was there any suspicion about his death? ... 2008 if memory serves.
The only obit I found about his death was an undated article in The Journal: News(sic)of the Churches of God. I can't get it to copy into a proper link but it is the first reference note on his wiki page. See James Orlin Grabbe I thought it was rather strange that there would be no other obits since he has two brothers, accomplished in their own right, and he was a Harvard graduate.
His brother Crockett has a PhD in Applied Physics and gave an Analysis of the Collapse of the South Tower of the World Trade Center to the American Physical Society Meeting in St. Louis on April 15, 2008. Hint: Crockett was not a fan of the conventional explanations.
Grabbe was a member of the Worldwide Church of God, and I found a website tracking Worldwide Church of God death notices, including his. See The Painful Truth. The list is kept current, and there is a strong indication that the WWCG was a cult. I haven't gone down that rabbit hole yet and the WWCG underwent major theological changes and became Grace Communion International in 2009.
Of note is the fact that the wiki link to Grabbe provided in the Death Notices has been changed somehow and even though his name is capitalized correctly on the link, when I clicked on it, it changed to his middle name not being capitalized and therefore returned no results. I had to type in his name correctly before I could get his wiki page. Just rather weird.
