So, this has become an annual thread. Each year I hope to find that special someone and each year, around this time, I realize that I may have to wait another year.
But, I can't complain. Life is good. I made a sweet potato pie from scratch and will share it with the family tomorrow at our Christmas dinner. I'm 59 years-old and have been blessed to have spent every Christmas with my parents? How many people can say that?
But, tonight it's just me, George Bailey on Bluray, some beautiful sacred Christmas music on SiriusXM Holiday Pops and a nice bottle of red wine.
How about you? Anyone else solo this Christmas Eve?
Just got home after going to a Church service with the wife. I thought I’d check FR before getting ready for bed and I find this gem of a thread.

I saw the movie once, but I already knew all of the songs because we had the album. Some of them are still in my head after close to 50 years.

I’ve had 6 surgeries this year, the last one was shoulder surgery 2 weeks ago, before that, hip replacement 2 months ago. I can’t do anything like cutting/stacking wood or even carrying wood today but I’m looking forward to 2020!
I can raise a double shot glass which I’m about to do again!

Wow, that’s terrible, you can tell a lot about a person on how they treat animals, in my opinion. I love dogs pretty much more than anything. Merry Christmas and keep looking, it will happen when you least expect it.

Will be watching the “Nativity” movie tonight and already viewed “The Family man”, and others while cooking. Candles lit and the smell of Christmas waffling throughout my apartment. I too am content this night.....
Not this year, but have been alone other years, I found that the best way to cope is to pray for others who are alone. There are so many people alone on Christmas. Somehow praying for others alone lifts your spirits. Like majic. :) God speed and God bless.
I too am alone and feeling it. I lit my advent wreath, watched my room sparkle and feel better (Found peace with God)

It’s supposed to warm up a bit Badger, but Peach Springs is on the plateau, and it gets much chillier up there this time of the year. If you can happen to catch a day when the wind is not blowing up there it is not quite as bad. lol
There is a 15 degree colder temp chill line and front line that comes across from northern Nevada through southern Utah that comes right through there on it’s way to Flagstaff. Damned beautiful country once you get used to it though, and the summers are NICE up there. :)
But Kingman is a bit warmer in the winter...
