The problem with your statement: it is not true.
If you don't want to accept that from me, take it from Brother Joe who has become something of an expert on this matter. Said he: “So, yes, Burton was a slaveholder himself . . .” Burton was a Republican.
Brother Joe has thrown cold water on you.
