People don't remember this, but I do.
Devin Nunes called that press conference back in early 2017 to reveal the 702 unmasking abuse that'd been going on since well before 2015.
And he revealed something at that press conference.
Nunes said he was SHOWN electronic communications intercepts, which means phone calls, text messages & emails, of TRUMP TRANSITION TEAM MEMBERS.
In the intercepts he saw, none of the team members were discussing ANYTHING related to foreign countries or foreign policy.
Trump transition team members preparing the way for the incoming Trump administration were discussing DOMESTIC POLICY AND PLANS, and their electronic comm's [EC's] had been intercepted, unmasked and transcribed.
And ***circulated*** within the Obama administration.
What's the key word in "FISA", anybody remember?
The key word in FISA is FOREIGN.
FOREIGN Intelligence Surveillance Authorization.
Nunes looked like he'd just seen a freaking GHOST.
THIS is NEVER supposed to happen. There were safeguards in place to PREVENT this.
Nunes was looking at documentary evidence that EVERY SINGLE SAFEGUARD carefully put into place to prevent the party in power from using the surveillance powers of the state to SPY on the opposite party, especially during/after an election the other side won, had been bypassed.
When we SpyGate researchers say SpyGate is 100 times worse than Watergate, we're not being hyperbolic.
In the WaterGate break in & the subsequent cover up scandal, a Nixon dirty tricks team ***attempted*** to bug phones at the DNC HQ but they **failed** & were caught.
G. Gordon Liddy & the other 'Plumbers' were actually making their SECOND break in at the Watergate Hotel that night, because the bugs they'd put into the DNC's phones earlier FAILED TO WORK.
And on the trip to replace the defective bugs with new working bugs, they were caught.
So although Watergate at it's heart was an attempt by a sitting President's team to spy on the political opposition, it failed and led to Nixon being forced to resign after he tried to cover it all up by having the CIA block the FBI's investigation of the break in.
Picture Devin Nune's face as he's reading these intelligence intercepts that came straight from the federal agencies intercepting the EC's of Trump transition team members, unmasking them, transcribing them and then passing them around the upper levels of the Obama admin.
THIS IS ***EXACTLY*** what successful politically motivated spying on the other side using all the federal agencies & powers at your disposal looks like.
THIS IS WHAT NIXON AND HIS TEAM NEVER MANAGED TO ACCOMPLISH IN WATERGATE.
So in case you've been WONDERING why Democrats & former Obama officials & DNC Media ***can never admit*** RussiaGate was a hoax through and through....

If RussiaGate is a HOAX then the only REAL reason to spy on the Trump campaign is POLITICAL.
