Grand parents were a very important part of my life. All my immediate family have been gone for a long time now. Brother was only 50 when he died.
My Dad died on the anniversary of Pearl Harbor in 2008. He had been in Intensive Care for almost a month. I knew he was holding out till then. He was in the Coast Guard and escorted ships—didn’t even see land for at least 6 months.
His ship helped sink the last German U Boat off the coast of Point Judith Light.
Bless those that passed and touched our hearts may thier stories great and small be remembered well beyond our years.
