I was following Bill Mitchell on Twitter that night. He kept telling us not to worry...that most states were the Republican area hadn’t reported and that Trump would win them. He really knew the Republican areas. He kept many of his followers like me hopeful.

When the big cities in PA had reported before lots of republican rural/ small town areas, I began to believe that a Trump win was possible. There must have been Republican poll watchers in many precincts where their all-Dem election judges couldn’t vote for people who didn’t show up as the polls were closing. Often all-Dem precincts submit their votes late, seemingly after they have learned how many additional votes are needed. We need poll watchers in every Dem stronghold precinct in 2020.

. Dems who don’t live in the area have no fear of serving as an election judge in heavily Republican precincts. It’s not quite the same for out-of-area Republicans going into heavily (completely?) Dem areas. That’s why there are lots of Dem precincts with zero Republican election workers.
