I was in 5th grade at the time, in a school with est. 800+ kids who were typically extremely noisy, especially before and after the school day.
For some reason, the memory sticks in my head of the school’s ramps and hallways, completely packed with students, all headed toward the exits in TOTAL SILENCE. You could hear a pin drop. Always remembered that.
