Yesterday at the dollar store a sweet little girl was tightly holding on to a pair of pink fairy wings. I commented to her and mama assured me there was another pair if I too wanted to be a fairy this year. I assured her with my large round (patting rump) that I’d never get off the ground.

We got into a discussion of adults dressing and I shared how my parents dressed as each other (their feet were same size). She always wore a flowered sheet when they drove to nearby family members.
What we do for our children. (And the child within us).

It was incredible that she won a write-in campaign for her seat in 2010, after the rules were bent for her to run after she lost the primary.
