Possibly the best outcome out of a tragedy. The brother holds and forgives Amber, the jury (that some here on FR were claiming was biased) finds her guilty but gives her a sentence that both punished as well as considering it was likely a mistake, and the judge (that the same people here on FR were claiming would be harsh because she was a black woman about to sentence a white person) also came down to hug Amber, give her the Bible she uses, and tells Amber to read it every day for at least a month starting with John 3:16.
Best outcome out of a a truly bad situation.

I'm confused about why they found her guilty of murder in the first degree.
Doesn't that mean "Premeditated Murder"?
Not saying that she isn't guilty in some degree, but she didn't set out to kill the man.

We see so much of the depravity of the human heart when we follow the news.
But God re-makes hearts. He transforms a heart of stone into a tender human heart, He gives us transfusions of His blood, His grace.
It gives us the inspiration to say, "I believe in God."
