She invited a man to stay a night, says then he wouldn’t leave

When you invite someone into your home, you might consider them to be guests. But what happens when you want them out and they choose to stay?

No rent paid. No lease.

You still must go to court. Meanwhile, you may be out of a home...

She called the cops.

“Cory said you can’t kick us out. You’ll have to get us evicted. We can stay for as long as we want,” said Dubuque. “The police were there when he said this. They said, ‘Yep. If you invited him in.’”

Wait a minute. This is ridiculous.

“What criminal trespass is when you’re in a location or you stay at a location without effective consent from the owner. So, when you have a guest stay over and you allow someone to stay in your home. If you decide that you don’t want them there any longer, you have to go through the eviction process.”

That's a lot of nonsense. If necessary, federal courts should clarify this for the entire USA.

In the consent given by the owner is the clear implication that consent can be withdrawn at any time.

If the law is not clear about this, it should be made clear.

In states overwhelmed by the decadence of Western Civilization, where a majority of the people do not believe in the ownership of private property or the sanctity of the home, the citizens and the courts, overly concerned by the rights of renters--or squatters--can enact laws to suit themselves.

However, the sane will live under laws that protect the right of a property owner to evict anyone at any time--especially a squatter.

I’m nys it is easier to leave an adult child out of your will than to get them to leave your home. As long as its their legal address you cant even change the locks on them. You have to go to court for eviction. In a will just leave them 10 bucks that’s it.

She invited a man or a family? Headline discrepancy, again.

This is about private property which the ruling liberal elite hates, and so they convert private property to public property whenever they can.

Find out what social groups or ethnicities the trespasser belongs to.

Make a habit of cleaning your guns and reloading ammo while muttering how much you hate those groups/ethnicity.

Problem solved.

It is, unfortunately, quite true. Believe it.

My landlady had a neighbor banging on her door, one night, because she was having a fight with her husband. The neighbor then spent the night. The neighbor refused to leave. It would have taken 6 weeks and $5,000 in court costs to get the neighbor out. I heard the cop blandly explain that my landlady couldn't do jack squat.

It will serve you well if you slam the door on anyone there. Tell them to call the cops. Sorry, but there it is.

This is where “housing is a human right” thinking has led. There is no private property, if the government decides there is a higher and better use for it.

You don’t even have to leave them 10 bucks. You specifically leave them out by name. But attorneys advise to leave a nominal amount like 10 or 100 bucks.

Guess she doesn’t own a gun to help invite them to leave.

Yea, I guess you never heard of “brandishing” and trust me, if this individual knows the landlord/tenet laws this well, I am sure he knows the gun laws as well and would have called the cops, filed a restraining order against the lady and he gets to live in her house rent free for 1-2 years until her gun charges/restraining order are straightened out.

People on here fail to realize, you really can’t use your gun offensively. Defense yes, hunting yes, target shooting yes, offense no, that will get you legal troubles out the wazoo

Old, senior citizen, vulnerable. I try to be polite. Like the grandma scams where they get a call grandkid arrested. Are they dumbasses too. My MIL got one. Fortunately she didn’t fall for it. They called back when her son in law was there.

The Army told us about this law at one of the in processing briefings when I got to Fort Hood. They told us that if we invited people to visit it would be wise to get them a hotel room.

"Problem solved."

Problem multiplied. The trespasser calls the cops, tells them he fears for his safety, the cops red flag you, and if they don't SWAT you, they will confiscate all your guns, "voluntarily, as a precaution" and you'll play hell ever getting them back.

Remember, the State always knows best.

I can appear very psychotic if I desire to do so. Her first statement is that she really doesn’t want to go to prison for murder AGAIN.
