It absolutely amazes, disgusts, and depresses me that people running for the highest office in the land can say such stupid things with impunity.
Far from being scrutinized, this type of stupid comment is reported by the media as if it’s some kind of wisdom. I think a large part of the media believes it, the others, see it as furthering the agenda, so they go with it.

Pete Buttigieg: Stress Under Donald Trump a Cause of Mental Health Crisis in America
Unstated: Trump is a source of stress for those seeking the advance of socialism and communism in the USA.
They see the threat as existential but I would disagree, thinking it is too late to turn the tide that is determined to destroy democracy in America. Trump may have delayed things a bit but if they stick to the long-term plan and don’t get into a bother about it not happening in in their lifetime, they communists will win.
Why dont you go on a nice felching spree. The 24/7 attack against trump, his voters, and wypipo in general is really starting to stress me out. The only thing that will reduce it is a 50 state victory, a trump super majority on the lower courts and all 9 supreme court justices. Though I am sure peaceful democrats will assassinate him before that happens.

It is the Dims and their media - and all the angst they churn up - that is the source of all the stress Pete B. is referring to. They manufacture the angst and then complain about the stress; that’s typical of how they operate.
They have a narrative; they need to get people to join it: they employ their friends in the media to get the sheeple all worked up; they get the sheeple all worked up; then they complain their opponents have the sheeple all stressed out. The circular logic of how they promote their agenda is complete.
Remember how, after the 2016 election, many colleges brought in therapy dogs for the college kids, to help cope with the shock of the election?
What is the undercurrent here? Pete Buttgig is saying that only Democrats, only liberals, should win elections, otherwise the population gets stressed out? What the heck is he implying?
