Yeah, that gave me pause, too. TV’s zenith was probably fifty years ago, when America gathered around the same three networks to share common culture. If this fool can’t find something he likes on hundreds of cable channels, he need to take up knitting.
The best TV shows by far have been made in the last decade or two. The problem is there’s so much crap (especially on the broadcast networks) it takes a little work and $ to find them.
I found the article confusing, maybe even conflicted. The excerpt almost seemed to be saying almost the exact opposite of what I’m seeing on TV. I’m pretty tired though. Maybe I’ll check back after I get some z’s and see if it makes any more sense.
