Thanks, Cats! My BIL, who just retired, is going to stay down there until M (my nephew, his son) maybe gets off work? M worked the lines after the Thomas Fire in Santa Barbara in ‘17 and was gone for 2 weeks I think. But now he’s married with first baby on the way. But since the damage happened where he lived, he may be able to come home at night. But if she does go into labor, BIL will drive T (preggers wife of nephew) to Bakersfield which is an hour north of Ridgecrest. T, the wife is beyond cool under fire. Both of them are quite the hunters, she’s an RN, quite the horsewoman, and just killed her first rattler at their house. Knowing T, she’d drive herself lol.
