Probably not “fresh water” like most would think. The Black Sea is a literally a thin layer of sea water layered above the more dense fresh water.

Even lakes and ponds have some salinity to them.

One can fish for salt water fish in Lake Texoma. (It’s about half as salty as ocean water.) It has to be mixed with fresh water before it is drinkable in the north Dallas suburbs.
