This is one “cause” that I support. Not the imbecilic alarmism that will undoubtedly accompany this but the reduction of plastics overall. Clean up of Plastic Island in the Pacific is something I would help with. Single use water bottles should be banned. If you have ever travelled through Asia and have seen the masses of tossed bottles you would probably agree).

But that is just me

I tend to agree. Microplastics are a legitimate problem.

Climate change alarmism, on the other hand, is simply an excuse for those in power to gain more control, more money, more power.

Not only agree you but think Trump would do well to divert any existing BS Globul Warming money to cleaning up plastic in the oceans.

The millennials would give HUGE thumbs up to that idea ... probably get some votes too.

I am with you on that FRiend. I have sailed across the Pacific several times in a small boat and the amount of plastic trash in the ocean is appalling.
