If they were already out by the dike, then they were out in open water, away from the dock/slip.

Very strange and sad.

Boy..now I've got my work cut out for me. Let me investigate some and get back. Was the boat large enough for a cabin?..I guess I need to find out. I'm not a boater..do people wear their jacket even when they are in the cabin area?

Still reading...yes..always wear a life jacket...why didn't he have his on?...did you know he was seeking $15,000 to $20,000 in grants to purchase 20 weapon-mounted cameras and some additional features for his department.

He calls the cameras an “insurance policy.” Reed said one of his concerns was how much weight the cameras would add to officers’ service weapons, but it turned out not to be an issue.

NIKK..I followed the reporters writing the accident and no one is discussing it on their twitter pages. I've hit a brick wall.

“These are very light,” he said. “In fact, the officers don’t recognize any weight at all when they’re shooting at the range.” The devices also include a high-powered light and, optionally, a laser.

The weapon-mounted cameras only record when an officer draws his or her gun, minimizing recording time.

Kemah Police Chief Chris Reed was on the boat with his wife in Galveston Bay on Friday afternoon when it was hit by a wake of a passing vessel.

I did find this...You've been hearing about the Chinese woman who allegedly lied to gain access to Mar-a-Lago, but four months before Yujing Zhang's incident, an 18-year old college student was arrested for sneaking into the president's Palm Beach estate while Trump and the First Lady were in town for Thanksgiving.

Mark Lindblom pleaded guilty Tuesday in exchange for one year probation.

The teen used a tunnel under State Road A1A that gives Mar-a-Lago members exclusive access to the beach. He stood in line with club members who waited to go through security screening, which Lindblom did.
After about 20 minutes of being in the club, Lindblom was detained and questioned when his actions appeared inconsistent with that of a member or guest at Mar-a-Lago.

The Secret Service says he never made contact with President Trump or Melania, because of the layered security system in place at the club.
