Disney CEO Bob Iger confirmed during the MoffetNathanson Media & Communications Summit that the next Star Wars movie, released in 2022, will be written and directed by Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Disney had announced in February 2018 that Benioff and Weiss would write and produce a new trilogy of Star Wars films, which was separate from the current slate of films, and the other new trilogy The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is creating. The studio revealed earlier this week that the next Star Wars movies will hit theaters on December 16, 2022, December 12, 2024 and December 18, 2026, which were expected by most fans to be Johnson's trilogy, but Bob Iger confirmed otherwise.

The new BSG definitely had some of the most spectacular cinematography and best drama scenes ever set to television. It had its low moments of course, but overall a very good show. The first time I saw the ship jump from the atmosphere in free fall glowing red hot from the air friction just a hundred or two feet above the surface of New Caprica had me gripping my seat until the tendons popped through my skin
Game of Star Wars Thrones. I guess this means that there will be Jawa nookie.
They phoned in season 8 of GoT.. don’t set your expectations too high.
As long as PC dominates the process, all future SW movies will fail. If they want to make a good SW movie, they need to get back to fundamentals. Disney is not capable of doing that anymore. Hence, therefore SW will continue to suck.
Waste of time. You could not get the universe more wrong than Star Wars did.

Rian Johnson specialized in subverting expectations as well. Star Warts is dead, Jim.
They got ahead of George Martin and proved they couldn’t function when they weren’t working from existing source material.
As someone who stopped after the third movie 1983, I could care less.
My theory is different. Star Wars started its spiral when Vader was revealed to be Luke’s dad, And the more family drama it embraces, the worse it becomes. The epic sweep of a galaxy in rebellion is just a painted backdrop to “What happened to my daddy?” and “Where’s my mommy?” storylines.
Ewoks and porgs are just the noodles and mustard on a soup sandwich! ;-D :-D
