What’s also interesting, from the Chelsea standpoint (rather than that of Stanford) is that according to these guys she started off chemistry / pre-med, then switched to a history major:

I guess she could have had a major awakening in intellectual interests during her sophomore year; it’s also the case that it’s kinda tough to fake your way through the chemistry, biology, physics and math you need to stay viable as a pre-med.
