I have to think that if they had given USC a $500,000 endowment, USC would have accepted their two kids.

Isn’t that how college works, rich people give big donations and it helps get your kids into the colleges?

I would guess that their grades or SAT’s were too low for the normal rich kid route into college, so they resorted to another route.
