What is a Miss goody two shoes?
One doesn't really recall which Cary Grant movie it was or what actress was in the role of "Miss Goody Two-shoes" - Possibly Deborah Kerr... However, the character Mary Poppins, who admittedly never appeared in any movie opposite any character played by Cary Grant, does come to mind...
"...The History of Little Goody Two-Shoes is a children's story published by John Newbery in London in 1765. The story popularized the phrase "goody two-shoes" as a descriptor for an excessively virtuous person or do-gooder.[1]....."
It's an idiom meaning "an ostentatiously virtuous or well-behaved person."
