You’re welcome. I see Jeff as a casualty. I really like the man but he gave up a great Senate career because he loved his Alabamans so much that he was going to join them in supporting a controversial candidate.

And it cost him dearly.

I think that which you said above is profound and so very well stated. He did serve at great cost.

We do not know the full story yet. I am hoping that he was indeed doing good things behind the scenes. But I can see the plausibility of what you have reported. In any case, I do believe he meant well and did the best he could. And perhaps when the whole story is told, we may see more to his credit than appears to be the case available to us right now.

One thing to his everlasting credit is that he gave his all in helping to early on establish Donald Trump’s credibility and seriousness, which contributed to him getting elected. We owe Sessions that.
