The details are very different, but at a higher abstract level, the pure arrogance, absolute absence of shame, sociopathic disregard for the consequences of one's actions on one's fellow man, bald face lying (watch his TV interview from the other day,) and Dateline-like criminal stupidity mixed with 2 ridiculous characters as supporting actors, is a lot like Pain and Gain.

Frankly it's far worse, because had he pulled this hoax off, it would have lent a serious dose of lie-fuel to a spirit destroying movement that is damaging to black kids' view of themselves and the world more than anyone else.

Hollywood types are mostly too stupid to pull off a good hoax. Someone likely suggested he do it. Actors spend their time speaking other people’s thoughts and speak what they have seen in scripts. Their careers are built on convincingly espousing other people’s ideas. All they can do for themselves is get into sex trouble and I am not sure even that is not mostly scripted by someone else. I wonder how many run-throughs he did with the two Nigerians and their director before they were ready to go on stage.
