Defconw, I've got to tell you about a conversation I had the other day. I stopped for gas on my way home from work. The receipt wouldn't print out at the pump so I went inside. The line was 7 or 8 people deep.

So the guy immediately in front of me has a MAGA hat on. I commented that I liked his hat. He turned towards me and I said to him that he didn't look like a racist to me! So we had a great conversation for about 4 minutes, for all to eavesdrop on, about the Covington boys, the shutdown, the wall, and the SOTU address. As he paid for his things, I remarked that it was a pleasure speaking with him.
