i often get us mail flyers offering cash for my home.
the people all seem (no exceptions) to be white anglo saxon married couples.
i personally know of exactly zero white anglo saxon couples with enough money to buy my home.
so who are these white anglo saxon couples with money to burn and who just happen to take interest in buying my home??
Lotto winner?
Chinese people.
Especially Chinese gang-associate people trying to muscle in on illegal grow ops.
They do this A LOT in California, a whole lot.
Typically inside there are 1 or 2 non-Engrish speaking Chinese who work the grow.
I’ll take a stab and guess people with enough cash to buy properties.
Any affiliation with a certain party? or with the CPC?
I don’t know, but I bet they have grammar and punctuation ability. Do the flyers appear to be edited and typeset?
Professional landlords. But are they willing to pay the market price, or are they trying to get it too cheap?
If it’s Chinese gang people you can be SURE they will represent themselves as honky MC Apple Pie types.
Is it POSSIBLE they are real honky Americans..?
I guess it’s possible, but I doubt it.
I think it is probably those people that don’t know how to use capital letters.
They are a bunch of morons and should never be taken seriously.
Keep them out of your life, they are monkey-butt stupid and have no business interacting with humans.
BTW, not all whites are Anglo-Saxons. Could it have been whites of other descent?
Bfl.
Whats cash ?
Asians are doing it in our area. All cash.
My first thi\ought, although the Chinese option is also possible.
I was thinking "Bottom Feeders". We have a one-acre desert lot in AZ where sales are $2,500 and up. About three times a year we get a flyer looking to buy the lot - usually for about $150.
Of course they are, that's why there are so many of them.
Got $5 from him so far. Then he quit adding the Dollar in his mailing.
Oh, you’re in California. With house prices out there, they might be taking advantage of the program that allows them to get green cards in return for buying properties over the certain price level. A few years ago, some geniuses yelled for “merit-based” immigration and had that passed. So we get more anti-American immigrants coming only for the money or to exert political influence here in advance of a future takeover attempt by a foreign communist nation.
just for fun, i responded to one. i had about 3 phone conversations with a person on the phone (american normal english speaker). the lady (iirc it was a female) wanted to know what price i would accept for the property. off the cuff i offered market price, volunteering also that i needed a new roof at about $30k-$40k.
i never heard back after giving my price.
so, i guess the strategy of these people involves:
* pretending to be white anglo saxon american couples with spare money to invest
* finding out what price the homeowner would sell at
* if the homeowner is willing to sell at significantly below cost (that is, a distress sale situation), buy the property for cash
* then what? flip or hold (or...)
i suppose there is a possibility that these people could be doctors and/or lawyers, or a conglomerate of them offering limited partnerships to the doctors and/or lawyers. maybe a trick would be to ask for more information on the partnership, and see if that is what it is. otherwise, i think there might be justification ti presume that this represents an underground economy whereby rich chinese are using surplus us$ off of the balance of trade to purchase the land from beneath our feet. and if that is so, then what are the long term implications? what can be done about it if the long term implications are bad?
not owning the land under your feet translates to me as everyone slowly becoming converted into some modern equivalent of sharecroppers. historically imho usa economic growth was fueled by land ownership and the prospect thereof by the average guy. remove that from society, and don’t expect the society to remain in its current form.
