Thoughts on the Missouri rally held 11/5/18

Posting blind, (and slow!) as per usual here, but I really wanted to express this.
Perhaps this has already been the topic of much discussion, and if so, thank you for indulging me my two cents on the subject.

We have consistently seen rallies held by our POTUS in a MidTerm election blitz, with YUUUUGE turnouts in the venue - along with thousands of people in the overflow areas.

Every single one of these rallies starts with a prayer song….. “I’m Proud to Be an American.” This song resonates with our Patriotic people. It never fails that as the President comes out during the finish of the song, there is a huge ovation greeting the President, certainly.

But I submit that in addition to greeting the POTUS, those present, and even those watching on TV or livestream, also cheer or ratify in some way the words of that magnificent prayer song.

In my mind and heart, I consider that the ratification of the voice by thousands of a song prayer creates a very loud and joyful noise unto the Lord for and on behalf of our nation. He hears us. He HAS been hearing us, and has been answering in so many ways, that I know that I, for one, am losing count of the victories our President has won for and with us!

That prayer song about standing as Americans together has been a very significant spiritual glue, which we have been engaging in for the past two years and more. Last night, it was even more significant, for the composer of the song was performing it live, with his own voice and heart.

That joyful noise unto the Lord, made with our voices in cheers of ratification and applause is highly relevant and powerful. However, I think it should be considered that voices raised at the same time in a song of praise can be even more relevant and powerful.

Last night we had both.

It was not only our POTUS and all present in that gathering place who were concerned about the dear lady who had a medical problem during the middle of the rally. All of us across the nation, and even the world were concerned.

In my mind, it was highly appropriate that the POTUS asked for prayers for her. The crowd responded with a song. A song of praise to our Lord. Yes, it was directed as a petition for and on behalf of a Patriot among us, and who of us knows, but what that petition on her behalf may have made a huge difference in her medical situtation? It is possible, and we were glad to hear this morning, on the 6th, that she is OK.

As marvelous as that alone is to contemplate, II would ask you to step back and examine the event with a slightly different perspective.

How likely is it that the POTUS, our Commander in Chief, holding the highest office in our Land, and indeed, in the World, asks thousands of people to join in prayer? Unless one of our number was in trouble?

We all joined together, not just in Missouri, to respond to that request. The song, “Amazing Grace” which expresses the gratitude of the Soul for the Saving Grace of God, was chosen from an organic Directive. It just appeared out of the midst of the crowd from the people themselves. That song serves as powerful Praise unto the Lord. When our Lord is Praised, He bends to us and hears.

Here we ALL were on the eve of the Most Important Election - not just in our lifetimes, but potentially in History. Our President ASKS for prayer from the People. This Song, sung in response to that request, about our Amazing God and His Grace, is the choice.

Think of it: THOUSANDS - nay, probably MILLIONS of voices were raised in petition, not only for our fellow Patriot, but for our Nation itself, joined together in that hymn. For if our God can intercede in the life of one lovely woman, could he not then also intercede in the lives and indeed the national life of an Obedient People?

I submit to you that that is indeed the case.

Cascading from the center of the nation, from Missouri, out into the entire world, were the joyful sounds of praise and thanksgiving unto the Lord on the eve of our crossroad election. It was a benediction.

What an Amazing Grace, for that woman to have served as the Instrument of the Lord, to allow us to gather as a nation - and perhaps even as a world - in prayer at that place, and at that time - with significance matching even that of the D-Day European Invasion. The very airs of Freedom hang in the balance on the morrow.

Ladies, and Gentlemen, I submit that we truly were, in Missouri and in the nation and world, in the Presence of the Amazing Grace of Our Lord and of the Holy Spirit last night....and united in One Purpose: Praise of our Almighty God.

What a Glorious Day this is! Let us resolve, each of us, to go forward every day and walk in that Spirit - for He remains with us yet!

“Proud To Be An American”

If tomorrow all the things were gone I’d worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
‘Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can’t take that away.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota, to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas, from sea to shining sea,

From Detroit down to Houston and New York to LA,
Well, there’s pride in every American heart,
And it’s time we stand and say:

I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land! God bless the U.S.A.

And I’m proud to be an American where at least I know I’m free.
And I won’t forget the men who died, who gave that right to me.
And I’d gladly stand up... next to you and defend her still today.
‘Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land God bless the U.S.A.

Amazing Grace!
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see

‘Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come
‘Tis Grace has brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures;
He will my sheild and portion be,
As long as life endures

Yet, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall posess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun

Beautiful post...I believe at that moment our Lord forgave us as a country for turning away from Him.

So many patriots have prayed today for our country, for goodness and justice, for all children’s future, for peace, for an end to division, for truth and Light. I cannot help but believe He will bless us.
