Could be...but that’s pretty bizarre. I suppose they could be useful to take ground inside Mexico. They certainly would be quite a sight to come up to...but no one in this “caravan” is ever going to believe that anyone will shoot on them anyway.

Not until somebody actually shoots on’em though. Talk about daring to shoot. But they think the media will protect them. That’s a thin hope!
I think the firepower is not for the caravan. I think the firepower is for the so-called gangs or cartels which may be operating, mostly at night, in possibly battalion level strength. It’s been, I conjecture, beyond what the BP is prepared to handle.
