A profile is normally a medical condition (temporary or permanent) that precludes a Soldier from taking a standard physical fitness test. An example might be a back problem that precludes doing sit ups or push ups. Alternate events are provided for the ones a Soldier can’t do, such as swimming or biking instead of running, pull-ups instead of push ups, etc.
Almost all Army schools require students to pass a physical fitness test on arrival in order to participate.
The link you sent is simply asking Soldiers to provide proof of a medical condition prior to attending if they can’t take the standard fitness test.
