If Sessions was targeted for recusal, that says to me that the DS wanted RR in place in order to appoint Lavrenti Beria Mueller to deep six the Trump presidency... which RR did about 15 minutes after he became acting AG.
Q has repeatedly said Trust Sessions; I don't recall him ever saying Trust RR. I believe Mark Levin, and others, have said that there was no reason for Sessions to recuse himself; he was fooled into it... thus Pres. Trump is angry with Sessions.
